About the film

Ilford’s HP5 Plus black and white film is a beginner friendly film. It has a large latitude and can be easily pushed and pulled up to 3200.

The high speed film has medium contrast and quite some fine grain. It is very sharp and when pushed it handles the highlights really amazingly as you can see bellow.

To learn more specifics and technicl data about the film you can visit Ilford’s webpage.

Developing the film

Bellow you can see developing times and sample images from the said development. I use the ADOX line of chemichals mostly because they are easy to find where I live. I’ll experiment more with others in the future but for now I am quite happy with them.

*note: After developing the film it accidently fell onto the ground. That is why there is so much junk on the images. That could be fixed in photoshop however.
